There is a famous saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. This means, do not create conclusions based only on what you see until you go through it.

This is common to see on social media nowadays which makes it a perfect example.

A lot of people on social media post their achievements in life. Whether it is finishing a race, being top 1 in class, or finally buying the dream gadget.

One of the common reactions to these kinds of posts is how “easy” for them to achieve those things. Did they experience hardships? It doesn’t look like it. How I wish I could easily achieve those things too.

The problem is, we think like that. We see it like that. We suffer like that.

We don’t realize that it is the product of sleepless nights, sacrifice, and being consistent on a daily basis to produce it.

We don’t realize that it is not an easy path. They have to go through hardships too.

Vice versa, not because things look easy for you. That doesn’t mean it would be easier for others to achieve what you’ve achieved.

Not everyone has the same resources, connections, or opportunities as you have.

The bottom line is, whether of which size you are, we don’t judge someone based on what we see or hear. Most of the time it lacks context and in-depth knowledge. There are a lot of things at the root.

We need compassion and love in this world.

May you reach your dreams.
